Police on Long Island are searching for a suspected attempted arsonist, and they're hoping surveillance video will lead to an identification and arrest.

The man was caught on camera getting kicked out of a nightclub on Motor Parkway in Hauppauge during the early-morning hours of Sunday, March 16.

Authorities say the man returned a short time later and poured gasoline onto three parked vehicles in Brentwood and Commack before he was interrupted and chased away.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male who was wearing a white leather jacket with a unique pattern on the back.
