LONG ISLAND CITY (WABC) -- An emergency meeting in Queens was held Wednesday night after the sudden announcement that a Catholic school will be closing.

Parents of students at Most Precious Blood School in Long Island City got a letter about the closure just last week.

The parish says the building is in need of costly repairs and enrollment has been dwindling for years.

Parents are frustrated and angry.

191 students from kindergarten to eighth grade are enrolled at the school.

It's set to close in June.
