DC teacher asks her class to compare Bush to Hitler.

WASHINGTON (WABC) -- A Washington, D.C., elementary school teacher gave her class an assignment to compare former President George W. Bush to Adolf Hitler.

She explained to her sixth-grade class that they both abused power and asked students to make further comparisons.

An upset parent posted the diagram and instructions for the assignment on social media.

The teacher was ordered to apologize and the school district said it deeply regrets her lapse in judgment.
