Newark teacher's aide accused of sexual contact with student

NEWARK, New Jersey (WABC) -- A teacher's aide in Newark has been arrested, accused of sending nude photos and engaging in sexual conduct with a teen student.

According to the Essex County Prosecutor's Office, on Friday, Tyrone Pullins, 29, of Newark, was arrested, and charged with sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child.

He is accused of sending photographs of a sexual nature, and engaging in sexual conduct with a 16-year-old student at Westside High School. Pullins was a teacher's aide at West Side at the time the crimes are alleged.

Pullins is expected to appear in court Tuesday morning.

He is being held at the Essex County Correctional Facility in Newark.
