Alfonso Ribeiro talks about hosting 'AFV'
Jennifer Matarese interviews Alfonso Ribeiro about his new gig hosting "America's Funniest Home Videos".

NEW YORK -- It's a new era for "America's Funniest Home Videos" on ABC this weekend as Alfonso Ribeiro takes over as host!

Ribeiro is particularly busy recently as he filled in for Tom Bergeron hosting "Dancing with the Stars" this past week, his new Food Network show "Unwrapped 2.0" begins, and now he's tackling "AFV" on ABC.

"The key to all of this is a wonderful wife," Ribeiro said. "It's an honor for me to come do this and an honor for me to come here and to support the TV shows that are breathing new life into my career."

Don't expect too many changes with the show though; it's a formula that is proven to work! There will be a new theme song, a new set, new videos, and of course our new host.

Viewers keep coming back for the cute animals and silly kids but Ribeiro said his favorite clips are the "epic fails".

The season 26 premiere of "AFV" is this Sunday at 7p.m/6c on ABC!
