Group of differently-abled adults perform 1st concert at Nassau Coliseum
Lauren Glassberg reports at the first free concert in the new Nassau Coliseum

UNIONDALE, Long Island -- Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum is back in business after a massive renovation, and on Monday, the Uniondale venue hosted its first concert.

Nassau County Executive Edward Mangano delivered his State of the County address, but first, a vocal group made of differently-abled adults from the area performed on stage.

The Free Ensemble are clients of the non-profit Family Residences and Essential Enterprises, Inc., and singing is part of their therapy.

They heard they booked the gig 10 days ago, and they rehearsed plenty.
