LeBron James rumored to star in sequel to 'Space Jam'

LeBron James has been rumored to be starring in a sequel to the classic 1996 animated film which featured Michael Jordan balling with Bugs Bunny and classic Looney Tunes characters. The movie would be written by Fast & Furious 6 and Star Trek Beyond director Justin Lin, Andrew Dodge and Alfredo Botello, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Since news of the potential sequel hit the internet, many fans and news outlets have been speculating what other NBA players would join LeBron on-screen. Basketball greats Larry Bird, Charles Barkley, Patrick Ewing and more appeared alongside Jordan in the original film, and Forbes discussed the possibility of stars like Dwayne Wade, Carmelo Anthony and Kevin Durant appearing in the sequel.

Released in 1996, the first Space Jam grossed over $230 million at the global box office.
