NEW YORK (WABC) -- If you've ever wanted to dress like "Olivia Pope" on ABC's "Scandal" now is your chance! Kerry Washington who plays "Olivia Pope", "Scandal" costume designer Lyn Paolo, and the head of design for "The Limited" Elliot Staples have created a new fashion line inspired by the show.
The new release is timed perfectly with the big season premiere on Thursday at 9 p.m. This is actually the first-ever design collaboration between a national retailer, a top-rated network TV show, its costume designer and leading lady.
Washington and Paolo told 7online that they regularly consult on "Olivia's" wardrobe and that it was fun working with Staples to come up with the new clothing line. They want women to feel empowered by the clothes they wear and they are happy to make the clothing accessible to their "Gladiators".
In fact, Washington revealed that some of the pieces have already appeared in advertisements for "Scandal" and we can keep our eyes peeled for more that may appear throughout the season. The clothing line goes on sale to the public on Tuesday, September 23rd.
Tops, pants, jackets and outerwear are included in the fall collection, with prices beginning at $49.
Washington also revealed that we will finally learn what happened with the plane and in her words, "it's really good"! So you won't want to miss it!
