Sandy Kenyon reviews the new comedy 'Girls Trip'
The raunchy comedy "Girls Trip," starring Regina Hall, Queen Latifah, Jada Pinkett Smith and Tiffany Haddish, is definitely worth a trip to the theater.

NEW YORK (WABC) -- The raunchy comedy "Girls Trip," starring Regina Hall, Queen Latifah, Jada Pinkett Smith and Tiffany Haddish, opens at the box office this weekend, and it's definitely worth a trip to the theater.

The raucous and raunchy comedy definitely earns its R rating, as Hall plays a self-help guru married to a former pro football player.

She's booked to speak at a festival staged by "Essence" magazine in New Orleans, which gives her an excuse to reunite with her college friends who have drifted apart.

Queen Latifah plays a character plagued with troubles, while Jada Pinkett Smith's character is looking to let loose.

Tiffany Haddish steals the movie from the bigger stars, playing a perpetually single woman who is always on the prowl.

Beyond the laughs, the movie contains a message about female empowerment.

All of the women are "alpha" in their own way, and audiences will love them for it.

It's funny, but those who are easily offended shouldn't take this trip.
