ELIZABETH, New Jersey (WABC) -- A former teacher at a middle school in Elizabeth, NJ, is charged with sexually assaulting an underage student multiple times during the 1990s.

The alleged crimes occurred between 1993 and 1998, when Robert Goodlin was an industrial technology teacher at Joseph Battin School No. 4 on South Broad Street, according to the Union County Prosecutor's Office. The abuse happened in the student's home, as well as Goodlin's car and cabin, prosecutors said.
