Indulgent manicures in the heart of the city
Lauren Glassberg reports on two nail salons dedicated to giving clients more than just a manicure but a luxurious experience.

Tenoverten is the antidote to the harried neighborhood nail salon. Nadine Ambramcyk's has just opened her newest Tenoverten location in Greenwich Village and it feels like a serene beach house.

There are no nail dryers, massage chairs, and noises are kept to a minimum.

And there's an outdoor option built to resemble a nice little oasis area in the middle of Houston Street.

If you come to Tenoverten and it's a beautiful day and get your pedicure outside you may not want to leave.

That's exactly what the owner of Tenoverten, Nadine Abramcyk wants you to experience.

"We're all busy in NYC so to have that 25 minutes where it can be a less frantic feeling," she continued "a nice hand massage, walking out with a freshly painted nail is a nice feeling."

At the brand new Paintbox in Nolita settle into the banquette and you feel like you're at a bistro, instead of a display of polish colors there's a menu!

With my experience backstage at Fashion Week and editorial and celebrity clients I've taken those best looks and made a look book," said Julie Kandalec, creative director at Paintbox.

"There's something from mild to a little more WILD but the artists are the best in the business they know how to take it down for a client if they need to and they know how to amp it up as well"

When your nails are done pop them into the photobox seconds later you'll receive a beautiful still-life to share on social media.

Eleanor Langston of Paintbox said "You come here for a special one of a kind experience and I think that you feel that the moment you walk into the door up to the moment you leave."
