NEW YORK (WABC) -- The New York City Health Department says Dr. Craig Spencer continues to show improvement as he battles the Ebola virus.

Dr. Spencer remains in stable condition in an isolation unit at Bellevue Hospital.

The hospital says he has been using an exercise bike and playing the guitar. He has been in the hospital for two weeks.

Spencer asked the hospital to fetch the guitar from his apartment in Upper Manhattan so he would have some way to pass the time and members of his care team agreed.

His fiance Morgan Dixon is under mandatory quarantine at the couple's home until November 14.
