Robotic mitral valve repair at NewYork-Presbyterian
Instead of a sternotomy (division of the breast plate), NewYork-Presbyterian is using a less painful procedure with robotics.

NEW YORK -- New York-Presbyterian has a program that focuses on mitral valve repair.

Instead of performing a sternotomy (division of the breast plate), NewYork-Presbyterian is using robotics to make the repairs, which is a less painful procedure that leaves incredibly small incisions.

Associate Professor of Cardiothoracic Surgery Dr. T. Sloane Guy talks about his experience working with the robotics in the video player above.
