NEW YORK (WABC) -- Her boundless energy and her fierce determination helped spread awareness of autism to a country and a world that was largely unaware.
Suzanne Wright, co-founder of "Autism Speaks", will now use her determination to fight cancer, her cancer.
Wright is now battling pancreatic cancer.
She's taking a leave from "Autism Speaks," the group she and her husband, former NBC president Bob Wright, founded more than a decade ago.
Autism is the fastest growing developmental disability, and we are aware of it largely because of Suzanne Wright.
We wish her well in this new battle.
