Manhunt underway after woman fatally stabbed on Bronx street
Kemberly Richardson has the latest on the manhunt for the suspect involved in a Bronx fatal stabbing.

MORRISANIA, Bronx (WABC) -- A 44-year-old woman was fatally stabbed in the Bronx Monday morning, authorities said.

The victim, identified as Adalgisa DeGaro, was stabbed at the corner of Home Street and Jackson Avenue in the Morrisania section just after 8 a.m. She lived nearby.

Witnesses said they heard a commotion and when they looked outside, they saw a man standing over the woman repeatedly stabbing her.

Paramedics gave her oxygen and performed CPR, but she died at the hospital.

The suspect fled in a black four door sedan, heading northbound on Jackson Avenue.

One woman trying to find a parking spot drove up to the gruesome scene.

"She was laying on the floor full of blood, and on her arms you could see the wounds and on the abdomen as well," said Dollys Sanchez. "It was really sad to see a woman, it could be someone's mom. And people were saying he took off in a Camry, black."

No arrests were immediately made.

Sources tell Eyewitness News detectives are looking for the victim's ex-husband to find out where he was at the time.

Two knives were on the street at the scene of the killing. The blade of one of them was broken off.
