1 person dead in double shooting in Parkchester in the Bronx

BRONX, N.Y. (WABC) -- One person is dead after a double shooting overnight in Parkchester.

At 2:30 a.m., in the 1500 block of Unionport Road at East Tremont Avenue, a 23-year-old man was shot in the head and a 35-year-old man was shot in both legs.

The 23-year-old, identified as Daquan Cooper, of the Bronx, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The street was blocked off as police investigate.

The survivor was taken to Jacobi Hospital.

No one has been arrested. The investigation is ongoing.
