FAIRFAX DISTRICT, LOS ANGELES -- The stars of "Fuller House" hit the red carpet in celebration of the spin-off series' special premiere in the Fairfax District Tuesday evening.

The original "Full House" series debuted in 1987 and was an instant hit, lasting more than a decade on TV. On Tuesday, the stars of the San Francisco-based show said they were happy to be back for the new series.

"It's like having a reunion with your family, you know? And it's such a gift to be able to come back all these years later and work with people I truly love," said Dave Coulier, who played the character of Joey Gladstone.

Several of the cast's core members made cameos during the new series and said it delivers the same family values the original show did.

"It still has the same family values and teaches your kids stuff, helps them through stuff and it really is about a family who loves each other," Bob Saget, who portrayed Danny Tanner, said.

The 13-episode series "Fuller House" will premiere on Netflix on Feb. 26, 2016.
