Bake shop makes its mark with the 'Everything Doughnut'
Photojournalist Dave Alter shows us what the "Everything Donut" is all about.

GREENWICH VILLAGE, Manhattan (WABC) -- The Doughnut Project in Manhattan opened its doors just four months ago, and is offering a unique take on the classic round pastry -- the "Everything Doughnut."

And brace yourself if you are a sweet tooth purist.

The shop is known for doughnuts that are as savory as they are sweet. In addition to the "Everything Doughnut," which takes its name and flavors from the bagel of the same name, you can munch on a bacon and maple bar. There's also the beet with ricotta, or you could give the olive oil and black pepper a try.

The "Everything Doughnut" isn't cheap, though -- it costs $3.75 for one.

The Doughnut Project is located on Morton Street in Greenwich Village and opens up weekdays at 8 a.m. and closes when they sell out.
