Gunman who police say ran down Bedford-Stuyvesant street shooting sought

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, Brooklyn -- The NYPD is asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect who chased a man while shooting at him in Brooklyn.

Police say a 25-year-old man was standing on Howard Avenue Monday night when the suspect approached, displayed a gun and began shooting at him.

The victim attempted to escape but police say the suspect chased him and continued to fire his gun at the man before getting into a car and fleeing.

The victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds to his torso and left leg. He's listed in stable condition at a hospital.

Police released a surveillance video of the incident to help identify the suspect.
