Woman survives violent crash with 18-wheeler in Houston

HOUSTON -- An incredible crash after a Jeep plowed into the back of an 18-wheeler in southwest Houston.

The accident happened just before 2:30am at Briarpark Drive at Westheimer.

The back of the big rig sliced right through the cabin of the Jeep and right into the driver's seat.

Miraculous, a woman in her 20s survived, although she is in critical condition right now.

Firefighters had to extract her. The Houston Police Department says the driver of the Jeep did not hit the brakes and was traveling at a high rate of speed.

The impact was so hard, it broke the back axel of the 18-wheeler.
