Queens nightclub shooting leaves 1 injured

SPRINGFIELD GARDENS, Queens (WABC) -- A man was shot in the leg in Springfield Gardens following a fight that started in a club Thursday.

The victim was struck near the Elite Lounge on Merrick Boulevard just after 4:30 a.m.

The fight started in the club, spilled onto the street and shots were fired.

The victim was taken to Jamaica Hospital in stable condition.

A suspect is believed to have fled the scene in a silver Mercedes Benz ML-350. No arrests were immediately made.
