Car slams into home in Freeport
Kristin Thorne reports from Freeport, where police are looking for a suspect after a car crashed into a house.

FREEPORT, Long Island (WABC) -- Police on Long Island are searching for the driver who slammed head-on into a home in Freeport.

It happened at about 11 p.m. Saturday on North Columbus Avenue.

The car was driving on East Milton Street when it apparently lost control and crashed into the home.

The people who live there were inside at the time, but there are no reports of any injuries.

The house suffered minor structural damage.

The whereabouts of the driver are still not known.
