EAST ELMHURST, Queens (WABC) -- A wind-driven, three-alarm fire burned through at least two homes in Queens.

The fire started burning through the homes on 91st Street at around 2:15 a.m. Tuesday.

Driven by winds, the flames spread through two houses and three garages. No residents were hurt.

Six firefighters are being treated for minor injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

"There was a heavy amount of fire upon arrival," New York City Fire Department Deputy Assistant Chief Michael Gala said. "The winds were definitely a factor."
