Women wanted for NJ 'dine and dash'
Surveillance video captured women who skipped out at a New Jersey sushi buffet

TEANECK, New Jersey (WABC) -- Police in New Jersey are investigating after three women dashed out without paying what they owed at a sushi restaurant.

It happened on Easter Sunday, when the women came into the Teaneck Sushi Buffet.

One of them ordered the buffet and shared it with her friends, but when they were confronted by an employee, they ran out without paying for three meals.

The restaurant's surveillance video shows the women leaving the resaturant with a waitress in pursuit, a chase that went out the front door and into the parking lot.

"I give her a lot of credit, she was really something else" said restaurant owner Tom McGlew. "It took a lot of courage to run out there because you never know what's going to happen. She cares and she's a really good person."

The owner says that the women did leave $25 on the table but the full bill was $77.

After reviewing the footage, McGlew said "I believe that this was pre-planned."

"On Easter Sunday, it should be Happy Easter," he said. "Looking back I'm wondering if it was Happy Easter or April Fool's."
