CONEY ISLAND, Brooklyn (WABC) -- New surveillance video has been released after a 57-year-old woman was hit in the face by a stray bullet while at a bus stop in Brooklyn Thursday.

The incident happened near the intersection of Mermaid Avenue and West 33rd Street in Coney Island, where gunfire rang out just before 7:30 p.m.

According to the New York City Police Department, a man got out of a blue Suburban as two other men got out of a silver Mercedes Benz sedan at the intersection. One of the men from the Mercedes shot at the man from the Suburban, police said.

It is unclear whether that man returned fire.

Authorities said one of the bullets struck Larisa Lyubina in the cheek as she was boarding the bus.
