'Taste of the Jets' charity event being held to fight hunger

Jets holding event to tackle hunger
Chef Brent Sims and former Jets safety Eric Coleman joined us to talk about the 'Taste of the Jets' event.

NEW YORK -- Food and football will come together this week in a special charity event called 'Taste of the Jets'.

Joining us on Eyewitness News Sunday Morning were chef Brent Sims and former Jets safety Eric Coleman.

Taste of the Jets will be held at the Metropolitan Pavilion on Wednesday, May 18.

More than 35 Jet players are scheduled to attend including the entire 2016 rookie class, along with veterans such as Nick Mangold, Ryan Clady, Leonard Williams and Nick Folk.

More than 15 restaurants, including Galli, TriBeCa Grill and Michael's will be represented.

All net proceeds from the event benefit the Jets Foundation to tackle hunger.
