Anthony Johnson gets rare glimpse of F-35 II stealth fighter

JONES BEACH, New York (WABC) -- The mystery surrounding several sonic booms heard from New Jersey to Long Island has been solved.

And on Friday, Eyewitness News reporter Anthony Johnson got a rare glimpse of the controversial F-35 Lightning II stealth fighter.

It's the same type of plane that back in January created sonic booms during its secret supersonic test flight off the New Jersey coast.

It's all part of the Bethpage Air Show headed to Jones Beach this Memorial Day Weekend. Check out the video above for his story.
