Police are searching for this man, who they say stabbed a woman in a seemingly random attack

BRONX (WABC) -- Police are searching for a man who stabbed a woman in what appears to be a random attack in the Bronx, and they're hoping surveillance video will lead to an arrest.

The incident happened around 10:30 a.m. Sunday opposite of 2458 Webster Avenue.

Authorities say the suspect approached the 32-year-old female victim from behind and stabbed her three times with a sharp object before fleeing on foot.

The victim was transported to St. Barnabus Hospital in stable condition.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 5-foot-8 and 190 pounds with an afro haircut. He was wearing a black T-shirt, brown pants and black sneakers.
