Eyewitness News Anchor Bill Ritter interviewed the author of a new book about new and creative ways to remember loved ones who die.

"Passed and Present: Keeping Memories of Loved Ones Alive" was written by former Eyewitness News producer Allison Gilbert.

Ritter interviewed Gilbert about her book at the New York Public Library in Midtown on Tuesday evening.

The book contains some remarkable ways to honor and remember family members.

Ritter said that he plans to implement some of those ideas right away.
