CENTERPORT, Long Island (WABC) -- Suffolk County police arrested a Centerport man for allegedly driving while intoxicated after his vehicle crashed into several parked vehicles Monday night.

Authorities say 53-year-old Mark Camenzuli was driving a 2007 Toyota Tundra westbound on East Main Street in Centerport when his vehicle left the roadway and crashed into nine parked cars at 437 East Main Street at 8:50 p.m.

Camenzuli was charged with DWI.

Witnesses said the pick-up truck struck a row of Mercedes, BMWs and Audis outside Mill Pond Seafood Kitchen and Bar, where a woman was celebrating her birthday.

"Oh my God, it was crazy," witness Danielle D'Aurio said. "We were having dinner. It's my 30th birthday. It was about 9 o'clock, and all of the sudden, there was a bunch of smashes and screeching."

When the truck tried to leave, the driver crashed head-on into another car in the parking lot.

Two patrons from inside the restaurant tackled Camenzuli and subdued him until police arrived and arrested him, witnesses said. Ten vehicles were severely damaged, including bumpers and radiators that were torn from the frames. A mechanic estimated the damage between $150,000 and $200,000.

Camenzuli is being held on $15,000 bail.
