Football team honors cheerleader with leukemia

CALIFORNIA -- A high school football team paid a touching tribute to a young woman dealing with a serious disease.

Ashley Adamietz is a high school cheerleader in Northern California who's fighting leukemia.

The football team laid orange roses at her feet, one by one before running out onto the field, to honor her.

Orange is a color associated with leukemia awareness. Adamietz was clearly touched by the gesture.

She expressed her gratitude on twitter, saying she didn't know where she'd be without the support of her family, friends, and her school.
