MORRISANIA, Bronx (WABC) -- The NYPD arrested a man who they say slashed another man in the face outside a deli in the Bronx Tuesday. The whole incident was captured on camera.
Police said the incident happened just after 8:30 p.m. near Melrose Avenue and East 161st Street in the Morrisania section.
In the surveillance video below, you can see the man approach the victim who was standing against a building, and then lunge at him.
The NYPD said the attacker used a sharp instrument to cut the man on the left side of his face.
The attacker then took off westbound on East 161st Street.
31-year-old Michael Hall was arrested Thursday night. He faces assault and weapons charges.
Police have not released a motive, and say the men only knew each other in passing.
