Lady Gaga holds surprise album signing on Upper West Side
Josh Einiger reports from the Upper West Side.

UPPER WEST SIDE, Manhattan (WABC) -- With one tweet, little monsters came from all over New York City to see their mother, Lady Gaga.

Lady Gaga arrived in classic pink attire and a wide-brimmed hat to match waving to her adoring fans. Watch her arrive at 6:00 in the video below.

Fans had lined up along 68th Street and spilled around the corner onto Columbus Avenue on the Upper West Side on Friday evening.

Gaga tweeted the surprise pop-up signing of her new album "Joanne" at her parent's restaurant with the same name. The restaurant and the album are both named after her paternal aunt Joanne who died at the age of 19 from lupus.

Fans were told that the superstar would only sign copies of her new album and nothing else. Still, her faithful waited on for more than an hour until she arrived.

Her father took some time to speak to Eyewitness News on Facebook Live before his daughter showed up. Watch it below at around 6:30.

So what's next for Lady Gaga? She's performing as the headliner at the halftime show for the 2017 Super Bowl. She's also starring in Bradley Cooper's remake of 'A Star is Born' which is set to begin filming early next year.
