NEW YORK (WABC) -- Many companies are offering discounts and freebies this Election Day, including Uber, which is offering $20 off for first time riders with the code "vote today."

Lyft is offering 45 percent off one ride until 8 p.m., and customers can get a free donut at Krispy Kreme by showing an "I voted" sticker. Then, you can work it off with a free workout at Gold's Gym.

Other businesses, though, are trying to encourage people to get out the vote through their stomachs.

If you voted and are looking to celebrate, why not do it a Playa Betty's, where Election Day falls on Taco Tuesday only once every four years.

Along with a build your own taco platter that features red, white and blue tortillas, an "I voted" sticker gets you a free paloma cocktail.

That same sticker will get you a free order of mini buffalo chicken meatballs along with blue cheese dip and celery sticks at The Meatball Shop.

Schmackary's is known for its cookies, but on Election Day, it's a humorous T-shirt for which people are visiting.

Magnolia has been selling five times as many Hillary cupcakes as Trump ones, and there's a variety of non-partisan ones as well.

But no matter who you voted for or support, some delicious treats could help overcome the pain of an election season that has seemingly gone on forever.
