NEW YORK (WABC) -- The career criminal who shoved a 61-year-old father to his death in front of a Bronx subway train in 2014 was sentenced to 18 years in prison Thursday.

Kevin Darden, 36, pleaded guilty to manslaughter for shoving Wai Kuen Kwok in front of the D train in the Highbridge section in November of that year.

Kwok's wife watched in horror as her husband was crushed by the oncoming train in the unprovoked attack.

Darden had been arrested at least 30 times.
