Thousands sign petition to shut down sad polar bear's aquarium
Animal rights group Animal Asia is not only trying to get the enclosure shut down, but also the entire aquarium.

NEW YORK (WABC) -- A sad and lonely polar bear is getting a new home and will be reunited with his family.

The bear had been an attraction inside a shopping center in southern China that was in deplorable condition. His name is Pizza.

Pizza is now living at an ocean park to reunite with his parents.

The mall says it's relocating the bear to renovate the enclosure.

Animal rights group Animal Asia collected 850,000 signatures supporting the closure of the entire aquarium.

One of the several videos distributed this year of Pizza, show him swaying his head and pacing. Some animal experts say that is a sign of frustration and mental decline.
