2 women attacked when Brownsville medical supply store worker attacked

BROWNSVILLE, Brooklyn (WABC) -- Police are looking for a man who attacked two women working at a medical supply story in Brooklyn during a violent robbery.

Around 3:40 p.m. Friday, at Belmont Medical & Surgical Supply on Belmont Avenue in Brownsville, a man walked in and went into a back room.

He threatened two store employees with a black semi-automatic gun and and demanded money.

According to the New York City Police Department, one woman refused and the suspect punched and kicked her, then hit her with his gun. Another woman working at the store gave him $80 before he fled.

The first woman was taken to Brookdale Hospital where she was treated and released. There were no other reported injuries.

The suspect is described as a black man, 40-50 years old, about 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing beige work boots, blue jeans, a brown jacket and a brown skull cap with a light brown stripe.
