SOHO, Manhattan (WABC) -- Authorities have cordoned off an intersection in Lower Manhattan due to ice falling from a water tower that has damaged some cars.

The FDNY and Department of Buildings responded to the situation at Broadway and Prince Street in SoHo just after 9 a.m.

The nine-story mixed-use building also had a huge icicle still hanging from the tower.

No injuries have been reported.

The falling ice damaged a van parked below the building and also cracked the windshield of a nearby police cruiser.

First responders were spraying water on the tower in an effort to melt the ice.
