85-year-old woman kidnapped, robbed in LI Walmart parking lot

WESTBURY, Long Island (WABC) -- Police have released a sketch of the suspect wanted in the kidnapping and knifepoint robbery of an 85-year-old woman on Long Island.

Authorities say the approached the victim Sunday afternoon in the parking lot of a Walmart in Westbury as she was entering her vehicle. He demanded money before forcing her into the passenger seat, taking her keys and driving to a Chase Bank in Elmont.

He forced her to give him her ATM card and pin number, then withdrew an undisclosed amount of cash, police say.

The suspect left the bank and drove to Dutch Broadway in the vicinity of Audrey Avenue, where he exited the vehicle and fled on foot.

The victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries to her upper body.

The suspect is described as being in his 20s, around 6-feet tall with a thin build. He was wearing a dark baseball cap.
