NEW BRUNSWICK, New Jersey (WABC) -- Police in New Brunswick are looking for suspects in the robberies of two students off-campus Monday at Rutgers University.

In the first incident, at about 10:20 p.m. on Comstock Street, a woman said she was approached by a man who brandished a sharp object while demanding items of value.

She refused to comply and the suspect pushed her to the ground before taking off, police say. The student suffered minor injuries.

The second incident took place about ten minutes later in the area of Hamilton and Division Street.

A man reported that he was approached by two men, one of whom brandished a knife while the other removed an item of value from his pocket.

The suspects entered a nearby vehicle and fled the scene. The victim was not hurt.

The first suspect was described as a male of Hispanic descent with a light skinned complexion, approximately 5'5" in height, with a heavy build, short black hair, and wearing a brown shirt with dark colored shorts.

The second was described as a black male, approximately 6'1" in height, with a medium build, short black hair, wearing a dark colored t-shirt and shorts.

Rutgers police are also investigating a burglary this week at the Chandler Health Center, where a burglar forced his way into the building and stole cash.

No one was in the area at the time.
