NYPD: Cop impersonator groping, robbing victims through Craigslist

QUEENS, New York (WABC) -- Police are looking for a city-wide police impersonator who has been targeting, groping and robbing victims he meets through Craigslist ads.

Three incidents have been reported so far, occurring between February 19 and June 3. There has been one each in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens, and authorities are investigating if there are more victims out there.

In one of the incidents, police say the suspect flashed a badge before sexually assaulting a woman.

In each of the three, the suspect stole the victim's cell phone.
