EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, New Jersey -- A driver recorded a shocking sight on a South Jersey highway that has now sparked a police investigation.

The person who recorded the incident, a viewer of sister station WPVI in Philadelphia, said he was riding through Egg Harbor Tuesday afternoon when he spotted a young man hanging almost completely out of a car window as it sped down the Atlantic City Expressway.

He said the SUV was going at least 80 miles per hour as the shirtless passenger pumped his fists, holding onto the car roof with one hand.

New Jersey State Police were called numerous times as more drivers spotted the stunt, but they were unable to locate the vehicle.

Authorities are now looking at the video to see if they can track down the car and the reckless passenger.
