Teen, 2 men charged in fatal Newburgh shooting of 63-year-old man

NEWBURGH, New York (WABC) -- A teenage boy and two young men have been charged in the fatal shooting of a 63-year-old man whose body was found in a basement apartment in the Newburgh.

Officers responded early Wednesday afternoon to a report of a shooting in a basement apartment on Chambers Street and found Raul Diaz-Martinez with a single gunshot wound in the head.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation resulted in the arrests of 21-year-old Dejiore Fox, 16-year-old Tyrees Canigan and 25-year-old Omarrio Morrison. The three, all from Newburgh, are charged with second-degree murder.

Police haven't released a motive for the slaying.
