WATCH: Over 200 residents become U.S. citizens in honor of Independence Day

NEW YORK (WABC) -- It's a true privilege to become an American citizen.

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services held a naturalization ceremony on Friday at the New York Public Library in honor of Independence Day.

Over 200 new citizens took the Oath of Allegiance, heard their names be announced and received their Certificate of Naturalization.
