Elderly woman missing in Bath Beach, Brooklyn

BATH BEACH, Brooklyn (WABC) -- A family is in anguish, searching for a grandmother suffering from dementia who vanished in Brooklyn.

88-year-old Mary-Joyce Bonsignore was last seen walking out of her brownstone on 19th Avenue in Bath Beach Monday morning.

Her family has scoured the neighborhood and is now putting up posters in the hopes someone spots her and calls police.

"We have no real solid leads at this point. I think that the only real chance that we have at this point now is that maybe a Good Samaritan came along and either brought her in for shelter, water, to kind of help her out," said Conor Coyne, the missing woman's grandson.

Mary-Joyce wears a silver ID bracelet.

She around 5-feet-8 inches tall and has blue eyes and white hair.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
