A man wanted in connection with the death of his ex-wife was found dead.

PORT MORRIS, Bronx (WABC) -- The man wanted by police for questioning in the death of his ex-wife has been found dead.

Detectives wanted to question him after the body of 55-year-old Djamila Requieghmuda was discovered at his Bronx furniture business early Thursday. Her death has been ruled a homicide.

Her family members had told detectives about a violent incident before the two divorced.

During a further search of the offices where the woman was found Thursday, detectives located her ex-husband hanging in a closet, an apparent suicide.

The incident is now being investigated as a murder-suicide.

Requieghmuda, from Bay Ridge, was reported missing by her daughter Wednesday when she did not return home.

The daughter started pinging her mother's cell phone, which led detectives to the fourth-floor office on the corner of East 136th Street and Willow Avenue in Port Morris.

Authorities say a worker found the body just after 4 a.m. Additionally, the NYPD received 911 calls from the building reporting a woman's screams.

Police say Requieghmuda was found lying face down with a blanket over her, and she appeared to have sustained trauma to her head.
