Robbery suspects posed as immigration officers in Brooklyn
Police are searching for robbery suspects who posed as immigration officers.

WILLIAMSBURG, Brooklyn (WABC) -- Police in Brooklyn are trying to track down four men who impersonated immigration officers to rob a man.

The NYPD released video of the incident on July 11th, when the 25-year-old victim was riding a bicycle in the vicinity of Johnson Avenue and Humboldt Street in Williamsburg.

Police say he was approached and instructed to pull over by four unidentified males riding in a vehicle.

The men displayed silver shields and identified themselves as immigration officers.

Three of the four exited a gray minivan, pushed the victim to the ground and took his wallet.

The three reentered their gray minivan and drove away. The victim refused medical treatment at the scene.
