Craig Carton suspended from WFAN after arrest
Ken Rosato reports on Craig Carton's suspension following his arrest.

NEW YORK (WABC) -- A popular sports talk show host who is charged with taking part in a multi-million dollar scheme is now off the air.

WFAN issued a statement late Wednesday, saying Craig Carton of the "Boomer and Carton" show has been suspended.

Former Giants quarterback Phil Simms will co-host Thursday morning's show with Boomer Esiason in Carton's absence and future fill-ins will be announced "as needed," WFAN added in the statement.

Federal agents arrested Carton Wednesday, saying he and Michael Wright got money from investors, claiming they were buying blocks of sporting event tickets for resale.

But authorities said the $5.6 million they received was instead used to cover personal gambling debts.
