HACKENSACK, N.J. -- Child endangerment charges have been filed against a northern New Jersey man accused of possessing child pornography.

Bergen County prosecutors say 24-year-old Corey Barraclough, of Northvale, was released on his own recognizance after being arrested this week. The arrest stemmed from an investigation in which authorities say Barraclough was suspected of going online to interact with children and acquire images and video files of child porn.

Prosecutors say a search of electronic devices belonging to Barraclough uncovered numerous images of child porn, including images of pre-pubescent children engaged in sexual acts.

A telephone number for Barraclough could not be located Saturday. It wasn't known if he has retained a lawyer.
