Darla Miles has the latest on the New Jersey child porn bust.

More than a dozen people are under arrest in New Jersey, facing child pornography charges.

The men were rounded up after a summer-long investigation in Monmouth County.

Investigators were led to the suspects after they were allegedly caught buying the pornography online.

"Of the 14, they range in ages the of 18 to 69 years of age," Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher Gramiccioni said. "They come from different walks of life."

Three rows of pictures showed 14 mug shots, all of the men accused of looking at and spreading vile and disgusting images of children.

"They all share one common thing," Gramiccioni said. "And that is an alleged desire to watch children be brutally assaulted and sexually abused in these child porn images."

The arrests are the culmination of a three-month investigation dubbed Operation Schools Out, conducted by the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office, the FBI, Homeland Security, and the New Jersey State Police. Investigators say some of child porn included images of little babies.

"We team up to work these cases," FBI Special Agent in Charge Tim Gallagher said. "And we will chase these predators to the farthest reaches of the dark net and the globe."

The suspects include 62-year-old NJIT professor Paul King and 69-year-old James Simmons, a retired computer scientist and former government contractor. Emir Gomez was the youngest person arrested. The 18-year-old works as a landscaper in Eatontown.

"I want the everyone to realize in the public and the media that we are out there actively patrolling and pursuing people that do this," Gramiccioni said. "We are out performing undercover investigations, and we will continue to do that, 24/7."
